We all love a New Year and the corresponding feelings of hope, renewed energy and inspiration it brings. And we should! Even though January 1 is essentially just the day that follows December 31 of the previous year, it still represents another time frame, another set of 365 days in which to achieve something, enjoy the people around you and be happy within yourself.
But 365 days is a long time to stay focussed. In amongst everyday living, family, career, extended family, friends and everything else life in today's world entails, a whole year can be a very long time to stay focussed and keep the freshness of January 1 alive. So, how to stay on track and remind ourselves of our January 1 resolutions?
Create an Inspiration Word Board
I love the feelings that particular words erupt in me. I am still amazed at how the power of the written word can be so strong. Have you ever read a blog or article which is so heartfelt and just hits home with you that you tear up so much you can't see the screen? I have. That is why I'm creating an Inspiration Word Board this year, popping it on my desk - where I spend a lot of my time - so I am reminded of what I'd like to achieve and what is important to me. Sometimes I think it helps just to see it in print.
Would you like to create one yourself? Give Wordle and/or WordItOut a try. They are both free to use and if you are a bit computer savvy, you can change fonts, colours & layouts to match your colour scheme, etc.
Good luck with it! Post a pic of your Inspiration Word Board in the comments or on our Facebook Page - we'd love to see it.
Happy New Year! May 2013 be everything you want it to be and more.
