Question Yourself
Decluttering can put you on an emotional rollercoaster. Often there are memories attached to our items, which can make it extremely difficult to part with them. It's OK to keep items....what we need to work out is whether the items we are keeping are contributing positively to the space we see ourselves in and the people we aspire to be.
While you are decluttering, if you are in two minds about whether to keep something - ask yourself these questions:
1. Is this item useful to me and/or my family?
2. Is this item beautiful to me and/or my family?
3. Is this item contributing positively to our current life?
Answering these questions can help take the emotion out of the decision, which will help your decluttering process immensely!
