What this also does is increase the craziness...
I laugh to myself every year, that we all drive ourselves into the ground preparing for this one day (and yes, I do it too!). Everything has to be perfect; my husband says I spend far too much time anguishing over every present; cleaning; decorating, well, you get the idea.
But all is not lost at this moment. Boxing Day or the next day (if you're family is still partying on Boxing Day) is the perfect scenario to do some soul-searching......
Time to take a long hard look at your life
And the New Year is a perfect time, if you answered no to some of the above questions, to set some important goals and habits in place.
How? Do some preparation now....write down some goals you'd like to set yourself for 2013.
Prepare Yourself for Success!
S - Specific - Be specific about your goal - "I want to lose 10kgs by Dec 31 2013" rather than "I want to lose weight".
M - Measurable - Ensure your goal has a way of measuring progress - "How will I know when I have accomplished my goal?"
A - Attainable - Your goal needs to be attainable, however still somewhat challenging, to ensure you stay motivated to achieve.
R - Realistic - Being realistic about your goals will keep you motivated and ensure your success.
T - Timely - Setting a time-frame to your goal allows you to break it down into smaller goals, allows you to plan and creates a sense of urgency.
To help you plan your goals for 2013, I have put together a "Goals for 2013" sheet in PDF form. Download and save it to your computer to print off as many times as you like. I have also put this form into my Online Shop - Free Stuff, so please share with your friends.
